Goat farmer in france - growing goats naturally without chemicals

Source: French channel on 26th Nov 2016 program on a farmer, a fisherman, a cheese-maker, and a fish-smoking seller

A french farmer who was rearing goats and selling the milk says the following;

We love our farming.

We let the goats wander in the natural habitat. Goats are finicky animals. They don't go out when it rains. Today, it is drizzling a little bit, so they are going out. Otherwise, they wouldn't. Our goats move a lot in the sun. Whereas other people who do industrial farming always put their goats under shelter.

Food for goats - our goats eat about 800 grams per day, mostly grass out in the nature. Whereas industrial type farmers give 2-5 times more food to their goats.

Milk yield - our goats give less milk. Although industrial type farmers get more milk, their goats eat lot more food.

Chemicals - we don't give any chemicals to our goats. Because if we give chemicals to goats, then it comes back in the milk, and then into cheese and then into us when we eat the cheese.

Summary - we let out goats grow naturally in the sun and nature eating grass. We have been doing this for a long time although the yield is low. Other farmer grow their goats differently, to each his own.

Blood type and zero-carb diet

1. Few people with blood type A are not doing well on Zero carb diet.

But a few with blood type A are doing fine with Zero carb diet.

2. Blood type O people doing fine with zero carb diet.

3. Blood type O do well with beef and goat/sheep. But are not doing well with pork, chicken, and shell-fish. Especially, pork is a big no.

4. Blood type / group - There are large number of blood types, 32 blood types and more than 200 sub-types.

I went zero carb for 8 months and very strict. My blood pressure went to 198/126 had to get off of it. Read "Eat Right for Your Type" and found out the A blood types should not eat meat. I started a vegan diet and a month and a half later my blood pressure is 120/80. Type O blood types should be carnivores and they do well on this diet. My wife is a type O blood type and is doing well on ZC. One diet does not fit all. Type As should beware on a ZC diet.

Lily Pisal Interesting. I'd never looked into this whole blood type thing until now. This could possibly be the reason I don't do well with chicken, pork, and shellfish (I'm type B) but thrive on lamb and beef. And when I say I don't do well, I mean it leaves me feel unsatisfied—like I need to keep eating beyond full and sometimes even feel like I'm battling carb cravings. This is where Esmée's comment about blood sugar makes sense. (I don't think it's a histamine issue, because I do fine with aged lamb and beef but even the freshest of pork and chicken don't leave me feeling so good afterwards and tend to slow down my weight loss. Fermented dairy, on the other hand, has never been a problem for me, even though I haven't had any since I started ZC.)

Michael Frieze I would read all kinds of things that contradicted my fear, so obliviously I was determined to experiment since I was pretty confident about these contradictions that I was reading.

Regardless, I still had that fear in the back of my mind. It took a long time to let go of that. After a year or so, I finally let go of that anxiety.

I still know that we don't have everything figured out yet and there is a lingering uncertainty about pretty much everything, but I am just okay with it now. I have embraced the mystery and just try to do my best to make good decisions based on my experience, what I have learned, and being aware of what isn't known. Also, learning correctly and caring about where our information is coming from matters when it comes to how a person makes good decisions.

The power of very simple data analysis. We first learned that exercise is good for health from the observation that in 1940s London bus conductors had much lower death rates than bus drivers.

Diabetes and Metformin

Summary: Metformin seems to be required by few people even on zero-carb diet. However, few people gave up Metformin after going on zero-carb diet.

Anyone here using Metformin as part of their diet or enjoyed benefits from using it?

Hanna Achepohl It can take up to 3 months for your body to get used to it and not cause gastrointestinal issues. But it sounds like you don't need it now anyway, which is awesome.

Jay Rivera For four years I sheepishly took that crap......That's what my doctor kept stating every time I'd call to bitch & moan about its effect on my gut, "give it time..", "your body needs to adjust to the meds".....
I even tried the extended release formula....which my doctor said she took herself.
4 years later, I dropped her services & the meds...blah, blah, blahhhhh......lol
