The prevalence of diabetes in urban India, especially in large metropolitan cities, has increased from 2 per cent in the 1970s to over 20 per cent at present and the rural areas are also fast catching up.

My note: What has changed over the last 40 years? This could give a clue to what causes diabetes.
1. Milk consumption has increased dramatically
2. Oil consumption has increased dramatically?
3. Indoor working compared to working in the open.
4. Diet changes -
